Clean Cut® Iodine
When to use Clean Cut™ > Povidone-Iodine 10% Antiseptic Solution > Doing a naval dip as part of newborn puppy and kitten umbilical cord care can help reduce the risk of common navel issues such as wet navels, navel infections (sepsis) and umbilical cord hernias. Iodine can also be used on dogs and cats for minor cuts, scrapes and incisions. This non-staining iodine can be used on all puppies and kittens, including light colored skin or fur, as it will not cause discoloration.
What it does > Povidone-iodine for puppies and kittens seals and protects the umbilical area from bacterial infections and helps the cord dry up and fall off faster. It also deters moms from licking and biting at the umbilical cord area.

How to use it > Simply tip and dip! Our specially designed bottles help make this umbilical cord care necessity easy to apply. The small bottle size is designed for use with one litter, helping eliminate risk of disease and cross contamination between litters.
Available in > 30 ml bottle
Wrap the puppy in a clean dry towel. Once the cord has been cut and bleeding has stopped, turn the newborn belly down, place the bottle opening over the umbilical cord area. Gently press the bottle opening against the belly of the newborn to create a seal. Tip the newborn over, belly up while holding the bottle opening firmly against the newborn. Tip the bottle and the newborn back over belly down, wait about 15-20 seconds remove the bottle opening from the area. Wait 20-30 seconds for the solution to dry. When the area is dry return the newborn to mom.
Dispose of remaining bottle and leftover contents after each litter.
When using on minor cuts and scratches, use a clean cotton tipped applicator with each use.
Cautions: Keep out of reach of children and animals. Do not use if outer seal is broken.

Do not use: in the eyes, over large areas of the body or if you or your pet has an allergy to povidone-iodine or any of the other ingredients in this product.
Storage: Avoid excessive heat. Store at room temperature 59° to 86°F (15° to 30°C)
